SOME OF OUR RECENT PROJECTS

50 Jaar Regenbooggroep, Amsterdam, 2025

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of De Regenboog Groep, Luman Beings was invited to design and produce the complete visual experience at the Transformatorhuis in Amsterdam’s Westerpark.

We created a captivating blend of interactive and informative projections, transforming the space into an immersive environment that reflected the organization’s mission and impact over the past five decades.

At the heart of the experience stood the “EU Maze” — a 12-meter-long installation guiding visitors through the challenging world of life without documents or shelter. This powerful piece invited empathy and reflection through experiential storytelling and was designed and build by us.

Beyond the immersive installations, Luman Beings also designed and produced all on-site signage and built three large-scale projection screens, each four meters wide, seamlessly tying the venue together into one cohesive visual narrative.

Wachterlicht Pilot, Amsterdam, 2025

In February, we piloted an immersive exploration of Wijkboerderij Wachterlied, uncovering what makes this community farm a beloved space for its visitors. By collaborating with children, we co-created visual stories inspired by the animals, flora, people, and buildings that define the farm.

The pilot combined hands-on workshops with interactive storytelling techniques. Participants experimented with overhead projectors, handmade drawing translated into laser-cut materials, while also exploring microscopic samples found at the farm to reveal hidden textures and patterns. These playful, creative sessions provided invaluable insights into how the community experiences their public space and how we could translate those perspectives into dynamic visual content for a bigger event we are working in 2026

The pilot successfully demonstrated the potential of collaborative, participatory storytelling, setting the stage for a fully immersive event that will celebrate the unique characters of multiple places in neighbourhood.

More details of this upcoming community art project are expected soon!
