On Saturday 13/12/2025, Vrij Paleis, will be transformed into a big, collective canvas for digital art, visuals, and any other form of light related work.

Luman Beings invites visual artists to bring their projectors and collaboratively light up the space. The building itself is the playground; its unusual architecture full of hidden spaces and corners, provides the perfect backdrop for the exploration of light as a medium. The only rule is that there are no rules!

Interested in showing your work? You can apply by filling in the application form. After we have received your application, we will get back to you with more details and additional questions.

BYOB 2025 Frequently asked questions

When can I start setting up?

Setting up can be done from Friday 11:00 - 23:00 and on saturday from 10:00-15:00. If you are building an installation, or if you have specific needs, we prefer that you set up on Friday.

What do I need to bring?

We ask you to bring a labeled extension chord, preferably 5 meters long. Also bring a socket extension that fits your need. If you have small table, pedestal or anything that fits your set up -> bring it if you can. We have a material to use, but stock is limited.

Is there storage for my stuff?

During the event we have very limited storage options for valuables, please keep that in mind.

When is the breaking down?

When the event is over, you can start breaking down the same night. It's also possible to collect your things on sunday between 12:00 and 17:00.

Can I do Stuff Without Using a Beamer?

YES!! Our BYOB event is not just about projection but about light! Be welcome with your installation, performance or other light related work.

A lot of different projects, people and energy are coming together in a very short time, which will be exciting! Learning from our experience, we can allready awnser some questions you maybe have!
