Luman Beings began as a spark between three individual makers who first joined forces at Surfana Festival. What started as a one-time collaboration quickly grew into a creative collective — a blend of shared vision, curiosity, and the joy of making things together. Over the past year, we’ve brought that energy to life through a variety of projects.

Gert-Jan Lems
Gert-Jan’s practice revolves around making things - and making things happen. He develops creative social projects, exhibitions, events and alongside this work, he runs Laser Whale, a small design and production studio specializing in digital fabrication methods such as CNC milling and laser cutting. For over eight years, he has also been part of the organisation of Vrij Paleis.
